Who Are We?

We were established in 1864 by a group of Manchester businessmen with strong Scottish connections. The first Worshipful Master was Charles Affleck the co-founder of Affleck and Brown department store which now exists as Affleck’s Palace.
The lodge is a daughter of Caledonian Lodge which meets at Manchester Hall.

Why Join Us?

The major social activity is the celebration with our ladies of the birth of Robert Burns (late January) and we also enjoy informal pub meetings.
Charitable activity includes support of the East Manchester Canal Boat Trust
which organises trips for the disabled and disadvantaged.
Individual members are involved in work with the local Magistrates Court and local hospices.

WHEN WE MEET

The Lodge meets in the evening of the 4th Monday of October, January and
February, the 3rd Monday of December and in the afternoon of the 4th Saturday of
April. (Annual Installation meeting ).
Practice meetings are usually on the preceding Monday.
