Royal Lancashire Lodge – 116

Who Are We?

The Lodge was warranted in 1760, although its history probably began around 1670. It is almost certainly the oldest Lodge in the English Constitution. Members of the Lodge have been formative in the development of the town of Colne for over 300 years and Royal Lancashire Lodge is justifiably proud of its extensive history.

Royal Lancashire Lodge, situated in Colne, East Lancashire, is amongst the oldest Lodges of Freemasons in the world. Freemasonry has been continuously practised here since the 17th century and the members, past and present, are justifiably proud of the antiquity of the organisation and the contribution that Royal Lancashire Lodge has made and continues to make, both to the civic life of the town and for the benefit of peoples in the wider community.

Why Join Us?

Members of the Lodge are drawn from all backgrounds, professional, administrative, commercial, forces and business. They share common values of friendship and support which are extended to all members, old and new, without exception and demonstrate those principles for which Freemasonry is so widely renowned.
