Who Are We?
In May 2005, approval was given from United Grand Lodge for the formation of a Lodge which would attract adult membership from Scouting and other youth organisations across Lancashire.
Following amicable discussions with the Lodge of Allegiance, which had been consecrated in April 1947, it was agreed that we could alter the name slightly and the Lodge as we now know it was Consecrated 1n January 2006.
The Lodge is also a member of the Kindred Lodges Association which consists of likeminded Lodges throughout England.
The values of the Scout Movement and Freemasonry have attracted members into the Lodge and cover a wide age spectrum, working together for the common good.
Why Join Us?
Our present membership covers an age range between 20 and 83 years – all with one aim, to help others and enjoy ourselves while doing it.
Our membership covers a wide spectrum of backgrounds and experiences who work together as a team.
WHEN WE MEET
We meet on the 4th Wednesday in January/March/May August/September/November and one of the Meetings will be held in West Lancashire during the year.
Our Installation, where we elect the Officers for the year, is held in August.
We are fortunate to meet in Whalley Masonic Hall which has a fascinating history.
LODGE INFO
As a Lodge we are keen to involve our families and partners in the social life of the Lodge including Barbecues, Caribbean Evenings, Burns Night, Black Tie Dinner etc.
Community and charity support is very important in the Lodge and, as well as providing a Bursary to both East and West Scout Counties for a young person, Members volunteer their time to Scout Groups, Youth Clubs and Hospices.
The Lodge is now a Grand Patron of the Masonic Charitable Foundation which includes Grant assistance to a large number of local and national charities.
