Thursby Lodge – 3855

Who Are We?

“The Thursby Lodge was formed in 1918 by the junior members of the Silent Temple Lodge No 126. The first master was Sir John Thursby, a well-known landowner in Burnley.
The Lodge first met at the Empress Hotel in Burnley and continued meeting there until 1923 when all the Burnley Lodges moved to Nelson House on Nelson Square.
The Lodge currently has several ex-service men as members as well as a wide range of other people with different jobs.”
