Trinity Lodge – 5651

Who Are We?

Trinity Lodge was consecrated on the 22nd March 1937 with its meeting place then at The Masonic Hall, Salford, later to be renamed Hemsley House. The Lodge flourished for many years and in 1965 they produced an address book containing the names of all the members at that time numbering 69. Unfortunately, as time went by, our membership diminished and towards the end of the century our number was so low that the Lodge was no longer viable, and the decision was made to close the Lodge. Fortunately, at that time, the Masonic Hall in Audenshaw was looking to form a daytime Lodge. Following an approach to Trinity Lodge, we agreed on a move to Audenshaw. The first meeting in Audenshaw was held on the 4th April 2001. Three of the then existing members of the Lodge stayed with the Lodge, but, sadly one resigned and one died. However, since then, our membership has steadily grown and we currently have 26 subscribing members. We are delighted to still have one former member with us.
Dining following our meetings is kept to a simple menu currently costing £20, and normally concludes between 2 and 2:30pm.
There exists a friendly relationship between all the members and whilst our Degree ceremonies are rare, there is an abundance of experience within the Lodge to work them for new Candidates joining the order.

Why Join Us?

Though the Lodge predominantly exists to provide older Brethren, who do not like going out or driving at night, the opportunity to continue and enjoy their Masonic involvement, we believe we can provide a warm welcome to our organisation to anybody who would prefer a daytime outing over evening activities for whatever reason.
We should state that Trinity Lodge is not seeking to encourage Masons to leave their respective Lodges, but rather, being a daytime Lodge, provide a venue for any Mason who no longer wishes to be involved in evening meetings but desires to continue his Masonic enjoyment, and they would be very welcome. Similarly, we provide an opportunity for those who are members of closing Lodges to join a daytime Lodge or indeed an opportunity to attend a daytime Lodge in addition to any other Lodges they may be a member of Lodge.
Also. for any member who has mobility issues, arrangements can be made to collect and return them home following the meeting.

WHEN WE MEET

The Lodge meets at 11am on the first Wednesdays in April, May, October and December. The new Master for the year is installed at the Installation meeting in April. Practices are normally only held for the Installation meeting, this being at 10am on the Saturday prior to the Wednesday meeting.

LODGE INFO

The Lodge holds an annual Ladies Dinner hosted by the Worshipful Master and his Lady. This is an informal affair and with convivial conversation between those present.
