On a brisk October Sunday morning. 16 East Ribble District Freemasons with some of their wives and 3 Blood Bikes assembled at 8.30am at the Walton Arms car park in Altham to receive  the marshalling briefing for Accrington 10k.
It was the second year for the East Ribble volunteers to assist  with the marshalling of the race for Accrington Road Runners who support East Lancashire Hospice.
Some of the volunteers marshalled points on the main race whilst others marshalled the car park and the three children’s races.
By just after 11am the main race had finished  allowing  the marshals to seek some much needed warmth!
