We had a fantastic turnout on Friday, 16 October, with Brethren from Hope Lodge 54, St Martin’s Lodge 2320 and Langley Lodge 3989 coming together to help serve food to members of two of my community groups in Droylsden.
The day included an enjoyable canal cruise from Portland Basin to Droylsden Marina, giving everyone the opportunity to relax, socialise and enjoy the local waterways.
On returning to the Water Adventure Centre hub, guests were treated to warming bowls of leek and potato soup, followed by bacon and egg butties, which certainly went down a treat!
It was wonderful to see brethren from different lodges working together in a spirit of friendship, generosity and community service. Their time, enthusiasm and support helped make the day a memorable occasion for everyone involved.
A fine example of Masonic values in action — bringing people together, supporting our community and making a positive difference through fellowship and kindness.
A sincere thank you to everyone from the three lodges who volunteered their time and helped make the event such a success.
