The Provincial Trailer returned, for the second consecutive year to “Padiham on Parade”where the people of Padiham put on an extravaganza depicting the life and times, and not forgetting the people, of this small town during the war years.
Set up in a prime location adjacent to all the major activities and basking in the sunshine, the Provincial Trailer certainly drew a great deal of attention from the thousands of visitors over the two-day spectacle.

Staffed by the newly appointed District Chairman for Burnley and Pendle, WBro Bob Allen, and ably assisted over the two days by WBros Walter Coupe, Ian Macdonald, Bob Summers, Ian Salthouse, Dennis Higginson, Colin Whittaker, Michael Maunders, Martin Blades and Kevin Pickering and several other Brethren who dropped by, they were, at times, overwhelmed by the numbers interested in who we are and, what Freemasons do.

When the District Chairman said he would get everyone a cuppa, this wasn’t what we had in mind!

WBro Allan commented; “It has been a fantastic weekend and we have generated a great deal interest in our organisation; we have had at least thirteen serious enquiries about membership”.
And importantly all that assisted appeared to enjoy themselves.
