On Sunday the 30th of September, a paintball day was organised through the District New Members Group. Around 20 New Members, long-established members, friends and family came along to enjoy the “fun” on an overcast Sunday morning, before being split into two groups, the Greens and the Cammos!
After a safety instruction (some clearly weren’t listening or just plain ignoring the 25 ft shoot /surrender rule), the games began. Many regular, painful exits from the eight planned games ensued, mainly from members the Green Team, who were quite frankly, annihilated for the first six sorties.
Thankfully a late rally for games 7 & 8 gave the Greens a modicum of dignity, but alas, the Cammo’s were victorious, with a near 200 point winning margin. A fun and very tiring day was enjoyed by all of the participants and we look forward to doing it all again next year, despite the pain!
Grateful thanks to Bro Simon Gilrane of Rhyddings Lodge No.5205 , Accrington, of the New Members Group for organising the event, it was much appreciated by all in attendance.
