On Saturday 3rd December 2016 at the Masonic Hall, Adelaide Street, Accrington, WBro David Lightbown, PAGDC, the Chairman of the East Ribble District, presented WBro Roger Flitcroft, PAGDC, with a crystal decanter for services to the Northern Area and in particular to the East Ribble and former Accrington Districts.

WBro Flitcroft  has just retired from the role as Northern Area Officer for Amalgamations and Closures. WBro Lightbown thanked him for his services and wished him all the best for the future. WBro Dennis Heskett, PProvDepGDC, has subsequently been appointed as the Northern Area Amalgamations and Closures Officer.
