A convivial atmosphere, spirited competition, and plenty of brain-teasing questions defined this year’s Quiz Night Grand Final — and it did not disappoint! Held on Monday 23rd June at Bury Masonic Hall, the event drew an enthusiastic crowd of quizzers from all areas of the Province to battle it out to be the Quiz Champions of 2025.

The evening was expertly hosted by Chairman of the Fundraising Committee, Steve Thomson, who kept the momentum going with quick wit, a few groan-worthy puns and spot prizes between each round. From general knowledge and pop culture to history, sport, science, and a surprise music round, the questions kept everyone on their toes.

After a close race between the 12 teams, the reigning champions, Lodge of Harmony 298 from Eastern Area, retained the title and the Silver Salvor, narrowly beating Hope Lodge 54 by just 1 point! As the final scores were tallied and laughter echoed through the room, one thing was clear: Quiz Night wasn’t just about the answers—it was about the community, camaraderie, and good-hearted competition.

Beyond the trivia, the night served a greater purpose, to raise money for the EL Festival 2026. Thanks to generous contributions, prize donations, and team participation, this year’s quiz heats and final raised a total £2270, proving once again that fun and fundraising go hand in hand!
