This Fellowship meeting was held at the Masonic Hall, Richard Street Rochdale and was opened by our Chairman WBro Alan Stancliffe, at 2.00 pm. Our forty five members sat and enjoyed a buffet lunch for some time before Mrs Jean Forester and Mr Alan Cristy-Casson, sang a range of songs, many of which were from the cinema musicals. The presentation was most entertaining as it was a trip down memory lane for those older members and a source of enjoyment as they joined in with the singing. As this meeting was on April Fools Day, homage was paid to the BBC’s 1965 Panorama programme which showed a spaghetti tree, growing in Italy. We therefore exhibited our own spaghetti tree. Before the meeting ended the winning raffle tickets were drawn, and we looked forward to our next meeting on the 6th of May 2025 when Geoff Scargill will present “Between the Devil and the Irish Sea”.
