The Travelling Gavel is currently residing with the Rose of Lancs; should you wish to liberate it, the lodge meets on the Fourth Friday in January, February, March, April and May. The current WM is John Curley and the Secretary is Michael Porter – email porter147@btinternet.com

The Travelling Gavel……..
is the means by which we hope to encourage visiting between lodges. If you want to attract visitors to your lodge, then you need to muster as many brethren as possible (preferably 6 but less may secure it) to visit ROL and capture the Gavel. Hopefully, other lodges will reciprocate.

NB: Your team must consist of members of your own lodge only.

RULES
(THE “CAPTURE” OF THE GAVEL CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED ONLY WHEN, A MINIMUM 0F FOUR MEMBERS OF A VISITING LODGE ARE PRESENT DURING A STATED MEETING OF THE HOST LODGE.  WHERE TWO OR MORE VISITING LODGES ARE IN ATTENDANCE, THE LODGE WITH THE MOST MEMBERS PRESENT WILL WIN. IN THE CASE OF A TIE, IT WILL BE DECIDED ON THE TOSS OF A COIN.
DUAL OR HONORARY MEMBERS OF DIFFERENT VISITING LODGES SHOULD DECLARE WHICH LODGE THEY SHOULD BE COUNTED ON).
