For more than two decades the Salford District has held an annual ‘Children’s Christmas Party’, and this year was no exception – they get better every year.
Children of Freemasons, their family and friends came together on 17th December for an afternoon or raucous merriment and mirth; not unlike some ‘Festive Boards’. After a greeting from Santa’s Elves the children enjoyed the party – games, raffle, spot prizes and a disco kept everyone busy until the food arrived. After a bite to eat all gathered around the piano – to sing carols expertly accompanied by, Dr Shiela Mccorkindale, wife of Dr James Mccorkindale, of Excelsior Lodge, an accomplished Concert Pianist. Then the Big Man himself appeared, with a present for every child. An incredible day, starting the Christmas celebrations for many people.
A very special thank you to John Roberts and Norman Alexander, who do a fabulous job making the arrangements each Year.
Thank you to the staff who give up their time freely each year and thank you to Santa and his Elves for their massive contribution. Finally, a big thankyou to you, who all attended and made today possible. And thank you to everyone else for your attendance and contribution.
