Based in the town of Bridgnorth in Shropshire A V Birch Ltd is an engineering company mainly involved in producing steel fabrications. At the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic they turned their attention to producing face visors for the NHS and Care sectors.

An initial Just Giving appeal for £5,000 soon reached it’s target but this was soon topped by a grant from the Masonic Charitable Foundation of a further £10,000. This has allowed A V Birch to produce no less that 30,000 visors to date and still producing. They also have an offshoot called Visor-Bikes who are delivering visors right across the country.
