The Sun was out and the ales were flowing, when 12 hardworking masons and some of their better halves, pulled pints at the 2018 Blackburn Beer Festival in support of Blackburn Youth Zone.
This was the third year of volunteering at the event. The day started with a briefing by the organisers, advising on the many beers and ciders on offer.
This was the second event of the day to be supported by District Volunteers, earlier in the morning there had also been the marshalling of the East Lancashire Hospice Bubble Rush event, both sets of volunteers being arranged through the District Charity Stewards team.
A very hot day with several junior matches being played at Blackburn Rugby club, saw a steady stream of ale connoisseurs at the pumps, and another successful event for the Charity.
