On Sunday 1^st July at 10.00 a.m. in sweltering heat, 12 volunteers arrived at CANW HQ in Blackburn to kindly assist in the annual Pound Day event.  Duties included supervising the traffic and car parks, putting up the gazebos and taking down and working in the kitchen.  Once again, we received a big “Thank You” from Child Action North West for all our help, which goes towards making their day a successful event.  The district charity steward and his assistant would like to thank all the volunteers for their help.
