The District has taken much pleasure in making a small presentation to another of our worthy 2020 50th anniversary celebrants, to show that although we haven’t been able to hold their full celebration yet, we certainly haven’t forgotten their service to the District and to Freemasonry in general.

Dennis Heskett of the Lodge of Amity and Rossendale Forest No.283, achieved his 50years in Freemasonry on the 16^th December and was due to celebrate this milestone on the 22^nd December. Unfortunately, due to our ongoing Level 3 status this will be deferred to a future date. Dennis has been an active member of his Lodge for many years and is dedicated to his role as the Northern Area Amalgamations and Closures Officer.

Deputy District Chairman, Russell Harwood, presented the gifts from the District on Saturday 19^th December which included of a bottle of Champagne, a card of congratulations, Dennis’ much deserved 50th lapel pin and a bouquet of flowers for Mrs Kay Heskett. The socially distanced doorstep presentation observed all current guidance and gave an opportunity for a ‘face to face’ catch-up for a few minutes. Albeit from behind masks!

Dennis is the second recipient in the Lodge of Amity and Rossendale Forest this year, following a similar presentation made to Derek Smith in September.

We look forward to celebrating his achievement fully with both him and his Lodge as soon as circumstances allow.
