On Friday 18th July, the Area Charity Steward, Vince Dover, and Frank Brown, Charity Steward of New Trinity Lodge No.4595, visited the 16th Bolton Scout Group, who recently received a grant from the East Lancashire Masonic Charity. The grant will support the group’s upcoming trip to Kandersteg, Switzerland, where they will take part in an international Scouting event.

During the visit, the Scouts were making the most of the summer weather by enjoying a very wet hillside slide they had built themselves. Light-hearted suggestions were made that further donations might be secured if Frank could be persuaded to join them on the slide – an idea he firmly declined!

The visit highlighted the value of Masonic charitable giving in supporting young people and helping provide opportunities for adventure and personal development.
