Fit2XL is an amateur boxing club, which is a completely volunteer run community project.  There are 150 members ranging in age from between 5 and 25 years old and
located in Lower Darwen. The club has been self funding for the past 9 years, and are constantly working hard to raise funds to enable them to continue to operate.  It only costs the members £1 each time they attend, but if they haven’t got £1 it does not matter anyway.
Fit2XL are in the process of replacing their well worn floor with more robust easy clean flooring.  An application for support was made to the East Ribble District Charity Steward’s committee, who agreed to increase the funds that Fit2XL had already generated by £200.
WBro Mike Stubbs, the East Ribble District Charity Steward and WBro Ian Johnson the Assistant District Charity Steward presented the cheque to a Bev Higginson and some of the Fit2XL members.
