Bury Blind Society has been in receipt of financial grants from the ELMC, as well as support from Bury District, so in return the Society invited local District Officers to attend their annual dinner.
The guest speaker was Dr Janet Gray MBE. Janet began her career as a water skier after coming to terms with going blind at the age of 21
She is an inspirational speaker and a remarkable symbol of courage and determination. Just think how difficult it is to do ski slalom and ski jumps, yet she does it completely blind!
