Like lots of other golf events there were only 8 members in attendance at our Annual event playing a 9 hole single Stableford competition for the “Jimmy Hemsley Salver”. Once all back in the clubhouse we enjoyed a wonderful fry up breakfast followed by our AGM.

A decision has been made that all society events in the future will have a maximum handicap of 28.

The dates for your diaries for next year are: – Invitation Day at Knott End Golf Club “Jack Levene Trophy” Tuesday 16th May 2023.

Derby Cup at Bramall Park Golf Club Wednesday 12th July 2023 (open to ALL Masonic Golfers) and our AGM and “Jimmy Hemsley Salver” (members only) 6th October 2023 at Hart Common Golf Club. Please support our Society when you can. I am giving out the dates now so you can.

Hopefully put them in your diaries to join us next year. The society needs players if our numbers get worse. Who knows?

The ELMGS has been running a Knock Out competition since the 1990’s First introduced by Arthur Axford who the cup is now named after

It is fought out for by the members of the society when you have a chance to play home or away depending on the draw.

This was not played for in 2021 as the number of entrants would not justify it. However, the committee decided that despite the numbers being low this year it would go ahead.
