Thursday 20th February 2020 saw Lodge of Charity No. 350 celebrate the personal 50th celebration of WBro John Tyler at Farnworth Masonic Hall. The lodge was delighted to receive the Western Area Assistant Provincial Grand Master, WBro John Griffin, along with the Grand, Provincial and the Bolton and Farnworth District officers.

WBro Tyler was initiated into Farnworth Lodge 5301 in December 1969. The lodge and guests heard a stirring tribute to WBro Tyler from his son, WBro Jason Tyler, who is also a member of the lodge. The ‘Tylers’ have been a driving force for masonry in Farnworth for many years and it was great to see so many attend to help John celebrate. WBro Griffin informed the brethren of WBro Tylers masonic career before presenting him with his illuminated certificate and letter from the Provincial Grand Master, Sir David Trippier. WBro Kakoullis, Bolton and Farnworth District Chairman then presented him with a ’50’ lapel pin on behalf of the district, thanking him for his service to the district.

At the festive board WBro Tyler thanked all those who attended for making his celebration such a special night.
