The Provincial trailer was once again part of this years Great Harwood Agricultural show, held on Spring Bank Holiday Monday.
Despite the ominous grey skies, the weather was mainly dry, which encouraged many show patrons to enjoy a fun packed day which included showjumping, cattle shows, dog racing, stunt bike demonstrations, car show, a 5k race, Accrington Pipe band, artisan and traditional food stalls, funfair and many other attractions.
Parked adjacent to the show ground, the trailer was in perfect position to show our community presence to the many thousands enjoying the event.
Volunteers included the District Chairman WBro David Lightbown, WBro David Gill, WBro Keith Jackson and WBro Allan Low (assisted by his brother in law and potential new member Malcolm!). They were on hand to assist all those who came over and spoke to us or asked us for information. More importantly, they inflated, tied and handed out our blue www.pglel.co.uk balloons to the hundreds of children enjoying themselves on a family day out.
All in all, a successful event which we hope to be part of next year!
Once again, sincere thanks to WBro Bruce Pollard & WBro Ian Johnson for picking and setting up the Trailer before the show and getting it safely back to Whitfords Caravans in Burnley for storage afterwards.
