On Thursday 23rd February 2023 the members of Lime-stone Rock

Lodge celebrated their Bi-Centenary to the very day of the first meeting two hundred years ago.  The Lodge room was full with many distinguished guests including Right Worshipful Past Senior Grand Warden Oliver Arthur Wynlane Lodge, the representative of the Grand Master and Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master Robert Frankl.  Also in attendance were Deputy Provincial Grand Master John Farrington, and the Assistant Provincial Grand Master Dave McGurty. The Secretary Nick Baldwin read a short history of the Lodge and Worshipful Brother Russel Conn gave a moving oration.  The Worshipful Master was presented with the Bi-centenary warrant and the Lodge made a donation of £1,822 to the 2026 Festival. Also during the meeting, the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master promoted WBro Edward Smillie to PProvJGW. A surprised Edward was delighted.

The meeting was closed and the assembled brethren then met in the Swan & Royal Hotel for an excellent banquet. Once the dining had finished a selection of toasts were made including one to the Lodge which was well received.
