🧸 A Little Bear Can Make a Big Difference

Hospitals can be frightening and unfamiliar places for children, especially when they are unwell, injured or undergoing treatment.

That is where **Teddies for Loving Care** can help.

This nationwide Masonic initiative provides specially supplied teddy bears for hospital staff to give to children who may be frightened, distressed or disorientated. The bears can offer comfort, reward bravery and help medical staff build trust at a difficult time.

Our Northern Area Charity Steward recently delivered another batch of TLC bears to the Urgent Treatment Centre at Burnley General Teaching Hospital.

He is pictured handing them over to Jacqueline Boulton, one of the housekeepers at the centre, ready to be given to young patients when they need a little reassurance most.

It may seem like a small gesture, but to a frightened child, a teddy bear can provide comfort, confidence and a much-needed smile.
