Rochdale District Freemasons came together today to pay their respects. We remembered our country’s gallant servicemen and women, as well as those around the world who also had made the ultimate sacrifice.

At 11 am on Sunday 14 November 2021, a two-minute silence was held to remember those who lost their lives in war. On behalf of the District, Chairman, Doug Smith laid a wreath to honour our fallen heroes, which of course included many Freemasons.

The RW Provincial Grand Master again gave dispensation to members of East Lancashire lodges, permitting the wearing of Masonic Collars at Services of Remembrance over the weekend of Thursday 11 November to Sunday 14 November 2021.

It was great to see the support of so many after the limitations of last year’s pandemic. The District Chairman thanked the brethren who proudly identified themselves as masons at their local services around the district.
