Young Stars Sports Club (YSSC) YSSC was established in 1978 with the objective to promote recreational and social activities amongst the local community.  The aim of the club is to provide a platform for young members of the community to participate in sporting and social activities such as volleyball, cricket, badminton and football to improve their life and contribute to British Society. The YSSC meet in community centres and mosques where there are workshops and information evenings on employability, training and education.
Arif Mukadam contacted the East Ribble District Charity Steward, WBro Mike Stubbs through Mustaq Khan who is a member of Fidelity and Crusaders Lodge in Blackburn. An application was made to the East Lancashire Masonic Charity for a grant to purchase a projector and screen, lap top with software and other equipment to allow the YSSC to deliver workshops, and information evenings on employability, training and education.  The provision of such equipment will allow them to reach out to all sections of the local community. The application was successful and the cheque was presented to the YSSC at one of their volleyball sessions at a local school.
