Trinity Lodge, No 5651, are maybe not renowned for initiating candidates. Being a lunchtime lodge they usually attract a regular flow of joining members. Indeed on their first meeting of the new season they welcomed a joining member just prior to initiating Bro Rev David Roy Penny into the Lodge. It was an occasion combining many reasons to celebrate.

Marking the return to regular meetings after the restrictions due to COVID is an event to celebrate in itself but to combine that celebration with welcoming a new brother to the Craft made it indeed an auspicious occasion. The Assistant Provincial Grand Master for the district, WBro The Revd Canon Richard Hawkins was in attendance on a pastoral visit, so the new initiate had a fellow cleric welcome him to Freemasonry as well as members of his own congregation and the Brethren of the Lodge.
