The East Lancashire Royal Arch Presentation Team performed ‘The Rise and Fall of the Twelve Tribes of Israel’, at the East Lancashire Provincial Grand Stewards’ Chapter meeting, at Rochdale Masonic Hall, on Monday 6th December 2010.
In attendance were: The Deputy Grand Superintendent, EComp Allan Bennion, the Third Provincial Grand Principal, EComp The Revd Donald Pryce and the following Vice Presidents of the presentation team, all Assistants to the Provincial Grand Principals: Excellent Companions Norman Clarke, Edwin Cheadle, Stuart Hughes and Michael Landriau.
Unfortunately Excellent Companions William Porter, Second Provincial Grand Principal and David Thornton, Assistant to the Provincial Grand Principals, were unable to attend due to other commitments.
The Presentation Team along with the Provincial Grand Principals and Assistants were welcomed by the three Principals of the Chapter:

  • 1st Principal EComp Alexander McLaren PGStB
  • 2nd Principal EComp Robert Rowden PProvDepGReg
  • 3rd Principal EComp Brian Bennion PProvGSoj

The team had been invited by the Chapter’s First Principal, EComp McLaren, immediately following his election to the office twelve months ago, via EComp Ian Hancox.
EComp John Cavanagh acted as narrator, whilst eleven other members of the team presented the various parts of the story, which was well received by those in attendance, including Hope Chapter, No. 54, who opened and closed their Chapter after transacting their Masonic business quickly, allowing them to enjoy the evening.
A special mention must be made to everyone for making such efforts to attend on such a snowy and icy evening.
The team’s next presentation takes place at Audenshaw Masonic Hall on Friday 14th January 2011 when they present ‘The Mark of a Good Evening’ at the East Lancashire Mark Masons Provincial Grand Stewards’ Lodge, No. 1272.
