Food to the value of £250.00 was delivered to the Nelson Salvation Army Citadel on Monday 11th December, courtesy of the Burnley and Pendle District Freemasons.
A trolley dash had been organised at a local Aldi supermarket by WBro John J Cooper of Abbey Lodge and his Wife Susan, an event that is organised every year.
The food will be used to make up parcels for those who may be struggling to make ends meet this Christmas.
Captain Maisie Veacock and staff at the Burnley Community Centre were delighted to accept the generous donation on behalf of the Salvation Army.
