On Friday 7th November, East Lancashire Uniformed Services Lodge No.8249 hosted a special event – The Ceremony Of The Empty Chair.

The Empty Chair, placed prominently in the Lodge room, symbolised the absence of those no longer with us. This deeply moving event was dedicated to remembering those Brethren who had made the ultimate sacrifice by giving their lives in the line of duty in service to their country.

During the ceremony, a solemn moment of reflection took place, where Brethren were reminded of the courage, dedication, and selflessness of those who have passed. A heartfelt thank you goes to everyone who took part in this special ceremony which was conducted with great respect and is now set to become an annual tradition for the East Lancashire Uniformed Services Lodge.
