On 14 April 2026, Liberty Lodge 5573 met at Rochdale Masonic Hall for what was a very special meeting. WBro John Ashworth reached the amazing milestone of 60 years in Freemasonry. The Eastern Area Team were also in attendance to mark the occasion.

John being a humble mason requested to mark the occasion that it was low-key and his lodge brethren were in attendance.

The meeting was opened in due masonic order and opened in the 3rd degree for a presentation of the Traditional History. The brethren formed a seated semi-circle where the presentation was shared and given by several members of the lodge. A truly lovely way to conduct the presentation and to share the work.

Following the Traditional History, John was presented his certificate from our Provincial Grand Master by his close friend, WBro Eric Kirkbride. John was presented to the lodge for them to give their acclaim.

The evening was concluded with a friendly and fraternal social board.
