This year, three donations of £250 were made to carefully selected causes. Two of these were to Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis and The Vitiligo Society, both of which are particularly close to the Worshipful Master, WBro Stuart Browning’s, own personal experience and interests. A further donation supported a fellow Freemason undertaking a charity bike ride in aid of ManUp, a men’s mental health charity.

In addition to these wider charitable contributions, the Lodge also supported a local educational initiative with a donation of 32 new world atlases to Balladen Primary School in Rawtenstall. The atlases were presented by the Lodge Treasurer and Area Charity Steward, WBro Chris Boardman, to Deputy Head Teacher James Richardson, alongside pupils Seamus, Rory, Casey and Macey.

The Lodge has also confirmed a further donation of £1,500 towards the East Lancashire Festival 2026, continuing its strong commitment to supporting both local and Masonic charitable initiatives.

Earl of Lathom Lodge continues to demonstrate a clear and consistent dedication to charity, supporting causes both within the local community and across wider Masonic initiatives.
