The Margaret Haes Riding School Centre is based in Holcombe
The Margaret Haes Riding Centre is an independent charitable organisation which has helped hundreds of people with special needs, young and old, to enjoy the experience of riding ponies over the West Pennine Moors in the Holcombe area of Bury. They have been carrying out their life-changing activities for over 40 years.
On Wednesday 20th September 2017 The Bury District Charity Steward, Steve Clark, presented Linda Nuttall with a donation from the ELMC for £1000 for the centre.
The application had been made by Jesse Riley who had seen an article in the Bury Times concerning their work and so he contacted Linda Nuttall and visited the school to find out what it was all about. Jesse said, “They are trying to extend their activities by providing a floodlit arena so that they continue to offer their services to more disabled riders, so I applied to ELMC. The £1,000 was a donation from the ELMC towards the cost of providing the floodlights, the total cost is just under £6,000”.
This is a well and worthy cause. Should you wish to know more please visit their web page;

I’m sure a lodge donation would be well received.
