Worshipful Master WBro, DAVID HEGINBOTHAM,  PProvSGDT

The Worshipful Master and the Brethren of Royds Lodge were pleased to welcome WBro Peter Hewitt APGM, WBro Peter Rhodes the Rochdale District Chairman, and WBro Paul Doran the Oldham District Deputy Chairman together with officers from both Districts on the occasion of the Annual District Hosted Meeting.  Also in attendance were 3 members of the Provincial Education & Development Demonstration Team; namely, WBro Jo Glass, WBro Tony Costello and WBro Dennis Hesketh who had agreed to give an explanation of the 2nd Degree Ceremony.
After the opening of the Lodge WBro Hewitt welcomed those present and then the Demonstration Team gave a very interesting explanation of the Ceremony of Passing in which one member of the lodge took the part of the part of the candidate.  At each stage of the ceremony members of the Team gave an explanation of the reason why ‘we do that ‘ and the presentation was  followed by an equally interesting questions and answers session.
The evening was concluded at the social board where brethren experienced the usual very warm welcome from the members of the Royds Lodge
