WBro Keith Iveson, PProvSGW, was the third Initiate of Old Salfordian’s Lodge, No. 7968, which was consecrated in 1964. He served as Master in 1972. Keith is now residing at Ecclesholme, one of 17 RMBI care homes, which provide residential, nursing and dementia care to over 1100 people.
The Assistant Provincial Grand Master, WBro Chad A Northcott, PSGD, was delighted to attend to present Keith with his illuminated certificate, signed by the Provincial Grand Master, Sir David Trippier, and rewarding Keith as he celebrated 50 years of membership of the Craft. The intimate gathering included members of the Lodge, the District Chairman, Peter Hegarty, Deputy Chairman, John Hesketh and a number of the magnificent and well trained staff from Ecclesholme.

Chad Northcott spoke of the 50 + years Keith has spent socializing within Freemasonry, the friendships he has made, the charitable work he has engaged in and the astounding range of virtues he has learned within our Order, applied to his own life and extended to the lives of others. A truly remarkable man whose legacy is that of those who have gone before, to allow Freemasonry to be as alive and vibrant as it is today.
Keith in return was extremely grateful for this surprise visit and recounted many heartwarming and humorful tales from the last. A round of applause completed the proceedings which were then sealed with plenty of coffee and cake.
